Upgrade A - 1 - 1.5hrs labour cost - Readjust door to fit - i.e. planing adjusting packing etc. - Ensuring gap is between 3-4mm between door and frame. - Replace 3 x hinges of the same size. - Adjust self closer so that door closes fully onto its rebates. - Replace signage - Replace exiswting seals with combined heat and smoke seals (if standard size). 10mm - 15mm.
Upgrade B - 1.5 - 2hrs labour cost - As for maintenance 'A' plus the following - Groove out door to fit new combined heat and smoke seals - Replace (like for like) handles with fire rated handles - Replace (like for like) latch or lock (mortice or yale).
Upgrade C - 2-3 hours labour cost - As for maintenance A + B plus the following. - Fit hardwood strips to either the top or side edges of the door or frame - Change the type of handles or locks fitted - Repair to fire door 30 minutes standard any small areas of damage to door or frame if appropriate after risk assessment.
It is recommended that you have a 'fire door survey' to ascertain your upgrade requirements, we have the experts to advise you on whether your doors can be upgraded to meet current regulations
Once any upgrade has been completed a certificate of conformity will be issued to each door.
